Volunteer Work Crew

Tuesdays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

A great way for individuals to spend a delightful day helping to maintain and improve the camp. This event offers a unique opportunity to work with others in a delightful Christian atmosphere.

Coffee and donuts are served during devotions with Stan, our Camp Manager, at 9:00, and lunch is provided by Chef Dave at noon.

Volunteers accounted for 5,352 hours of labor this year.

That means Volunteer labor is equivalent to 1 & 1/2 full time staff

Herb was a mechanic and spends a lot of time repairing lawn

mowers and trucks.

Ron's specialties are mowing grass and burning trash.

Everyone has different gifts and abilities and we can

definitely put them all to use.

These men have been working hard to finish before winter

comes.

For the past 3 years, the volunteers have been working to

enclose and winterize our chapel.  It was enclosed in the

Spring of 2003, in 2004 it was re-roofed and new electric

was installed.  Most of the work in 2005 has been on the

inside.  This fall's project has been staining the ceiling and

laying electrical conduit in the floor.

It will still be some time before Calvary Chapel is finished,

as we are seeking donations to put heating in the floor,

and build restroom facilities.

Bob often does electrical work.

Tom is a plumber, but we use people for all different

jobs.

These gentlemen are hanging a new ceiling in one of

our summer staff cabins.

The thousands of hours that these faithful volunteers

donate to the camp is priceless; we appreciate

everyone's efforts.

And we can't forget the ladies.  These women come

several times a year to help with our mailings.  In

one morning, these women prepared over 5000

newsletters to be mailed to friends of the camp.

The only thing left to say is...

Thank You for your service!

We also thank our donors, 40% of our budget comes

from donations, and we thank those who faithfully give

to support the work the Lord is doing at Seneca Hills.
