Summer Camp
Information
"That
I May Know Him" - Phil 3:10
Our
mission is for campers to know Christ as their Savior and to
grow in their
personal relationship with God. Campers will experience
the fun and
excitement of all we have to offer, climbing, kayaking, rappelling, ropes
course, games, swimming, crafts, and much more.
What makes camp unique, is that each
of these activities will allow
campers
to learn how to biblically and practically apply Scripture to
their daily
lives. Through guidance from the staff and instruction in
daily
Chapel, Bible Study, Missions, and Devotions, campers will
be taught and discipled to know what it means to live by
God's
grace and truth, fully committed to Him.

The Theme for 2008 is
Choose…for
the Lord is your life - Deut. 30:19-20
Throughout
Deuteronomy, the people of Israel are instructed about their need to follow God
and walk in obedience to His commands, and they are told to choose life, to
listen to God’s voice, and to hold fast to Him, because He is their life and
length of days. Likewise, God has given us all that we need to follow Him and
obey His commands. God has given us eternal life and has promised to provide for
us and work out what is best for us in this life. Our response should be to
choose to follow Him, to declare His word and His glory, and to share His truth
with others. It is our desire that all those whom God leads to Seneca Hills this
summer, will hear the message of salvation, understand their need, and receive
God as their Savior and Lord, that they may have eternal life, and choose to
live each day for His kingdom and glory.
About
Our Staff
We recognize the
spiritual maturity of the staff ministering to campers
is extremely important because much
of the message we hope to communicate is more often "caught" than
"taught." The Staff members
we select are committed Christians who demonstrate a
desire to grow
in their faith, and who demonstrate interest in working together with
brothers and sisters to impact campers' lives for Christ. Counselors
and program staff are
comprised of college-age individuals who are
striving to be positive Christian role
models. Each camper will have
the opportunity throughout the summer to meet with one of his or her
counselors one-on-one to talk about salvation or discipleship.
